Perfume Vending Machine FAQ: What People Asked Us in Two Live Sessions

In October 2026 we ran two free live sessions about our perfume vending machines. More than 150 people signed up, and the question box in the live room kept filling up through both. This post collects the questions that apply to any buyer, wherever they are, with the answers we give every customer.

What the Sessions Covered

Both sessions ran in our own live room and set out to answer the three questions we always get before anyone buys: where to put the machine, how easy it is to start, and what the real numbers are. Under the video, each viewer could pick their country and see its price and the ways the machine takes payment there.

The questions below are grouped by subject and written the way people search for them, so each one stands for everyone who asked it.

Do Perfume Vending Machines Come With Perfume?

Ours do not. A SpritzUp machine arrives empty, with five 100 ml containers, and you choose which fragrances to offer, where to buy them and what to charge. That is by design: you are not tied to anyone’s catalogue or anyone’s prices.

You fill the machine yourself, and you do not have to work out the fragrances alone. During onboarding we guide you through choosing your fragrances, deciding which ones to offer and setting how much each spray gives.

How Many Sprays Are in a 100 ml Bottle of Perfume?

In a SpritzUp machine, up to 900. A 100 ml bottle costs about €50–70, so the fragrance in each spray costs you a few cents:

The table is arithmetic on those two published figures, not a measurement from a particular machine. How much fragrance each spray gives is a setting: on the platform you set the spray length for each fragrance, and a longer spray uses more. The exact count per bottle therefore depends on how you set it.

What Size Bottles Does a Perfume Vending Machine Use?

A SpritzUp machine has five 100 ml containers of its own, behind the door, and you fill them with the fragrances you choose. The bottles you see in the lit display at the top are for show; the fragrance that comes out of the buttons is in those five containers.

How Much Maintenance Does a Perfume Vending Machine Need?

Almost none. In a SpritzUp machine a bottle lasts about 900 sprays, which is roughly every two to three months, and there are no complex moving parts.

You also do not have to visit the machine to find out. From the platform you see each fragrance’s level, along with sales and connectivity, live from your laptop.

Does a Perfume Vending Machine Need Wi-Fi?

A SpritzUp machine is connected, and how it connects depends on the package. Essential connects by Wi-Fi. Professional and Complete have a 4G SIM as well as Wi-Fi.

The connection is what gives you real-time sales tracking, remote configuration and control of the screen, all from your phone. Before the machine arrives, check with your phone that the Wi-Fi signal reaches the spot where it will hang.

How Do Customers Pay at a Perfume Vending Machine?

At a SpritzUp machine, it depends on the package and on your country. Essential takes coins and cash. Professional takes card and contactless (NFC). Complete takes card, contactless and coins.

For a machine that takes no coins or cash at all, the package is Professional. The card terminal is not available in every country, and in some countries the machine takes payment by QR code instead. If you are unsure what works in yours, ask us before you pay. Every transaction appears in your dashboard in real time.

Can You Advertise on a Perfume Vending Machine?

Yes. The touchscreen on a SpritzUp machine is ad space you control: you can run a venue’s own promotions or sell the screen to local brands, and you change it remotely. Remote advertising is included in all three packages.

The same screen shows your fragrances. You add them on the platform with their photos, and that is what your customers choose from.

Do You Need Your Own Venue for a Perfume Vending Machine?

No. Most of our customers do not own a venue. They approach a local bar, hotel, gym or nightclub and offer to place the machine there. Venues say yes because it costs them nothing and improves their guests’ experience.

What Deal Does a Venue Get for Hosting a Perfume Vending Machine?

Whatever the operator and the venue agree between them. The deals operators agree are one of three: a share of what the machine takes, a fixed monthly payment for having it there, or the venue’s own adverts on the screen. Many negotiate a revenue share, and there is no set percentage.

Where in a Venue Should a Perfume Vending Machine Go?

In a bar, hotel, gym or nightclub, the rule we give every buyer is the same: the machine goes where everyone walks past it, and in most venues that is the passage to the toilets. Everyone on the way there passes it, and they see it again on the way back.

How Do You Install a Perfume Vending Machine?

It hangs on the wall like a picture. A SpritzUp machine measures 69.3 × 45 × 13.8 cm, and any handyman or technician you trust can hang it in under an hour. We send you the installation video to pass on to them, and the members of our team take you through the installation step by step.

The spot needs two things: a power socket within 1.5 metres, and a Wi-Fi signal that reaches it.

Do You Need a Company to Buy a Perfume Vending Machine?

No. We sell to businesses and self-employed professionals, and what you need is a valid tax number.

Is There a Monthly Fee for a Perfume Vending Machine?

Not with SpritzUp. You pay once: no monthly fee, no franchise and no revenue share, and 100% of the revenue is yours. The one recurring cost you might have is your own card-payment account, if your customers pay by card.

What Support Comes With a Perfume Vending Machine?

With a SpritzUp machine, we contact you within 24 hours of your payment at most, with your order confirmation, your invoice and the next steps. After that:

1. We add you to a WhatsApp group with two members of our team, your main contacts for the whole process.
2. We set up your first onboarding call, where we explain how the process works, the estimated timeline and what you need ready before the machine arrives.
3. You get your platform login before the machine arrives, so you already know how to use it when it does.
4. We send you the installation materials and guide you through the installation.
5. We guide you through choosing your fragrances and setting the spray volume and duration.
6. We help you get the most out of the machine: pricing, dose settings, placement and the platform data.

Remote technical support comes with every package, and it is priority support on Professional and Complete. The Complete package also adds initial one-to-one sessions with our team.

The Short Version

You choose and buy your own fragrances, a 100 ml bottle gives up to 900 sprays, and the machine needs very little looking after. It connects by Wi-Fi, or by 4G as well on Professional and Complete. You do not need a venue of your own, and whatever you agree with the venue is between the two of you. You pay once, and our team stays with you from the order to the first sprays and after.
